THERAPIST'S COMMITMENT

I agree to treat all clients in the most respectful and ethical professional manner as I possibly can and agree to abide by the National Hypnotherapy Society's Code of Ethics, of which full details can be found at: https://nationalhypnotherapysociety.org/about-us/code-of-ethics.

If you find any reason to make a complaint regarding my services or conduct, details can be found at:

https://nationalhypnotherapysociety.org/have-a-concern/complaints-process, quoting my name and

membership number HYP22-00894.

I can offer help, but I can't force help. I am there to encourage, but ultimately, it is up to the client to accept this help and be willing to try new things to help initiate change. Open-mindedness is an essential prerequisite. There may be new things that may feel awkward and new to you, which you may not feel comfortable doing at first, but go with the flow. If there is anything that you do not feel comfortable doing, I will refrain from doing it. After all, it is YOUR therapy, not mine.

I do not conduct therapeutic services less than 72 hours after the initial face-to-face, the reason being, is that I need time to study your details before submitting a flexible treatment plan.

The client agrees that while I, as a therapist, will exercise my utmost efforts to help, the client understands and accepts there is no guarantee that any issue will be 'cured', and any failure of results does not constitute a right to reimbursement of fees either in full or in part.

GENERAL BEHAVIOUR

The prospective client will ensure that they will remain polite at all times. I am here to help, not have a fight or play negative, unhelpful (excuse the pun) - mind games. Naturally, accidental mishaps can occur, but if the prospective client causes any intentional upset, all communication will cease, and the individual will be blocked from future communication.

Both client and therapist will respect each other's boundaries and remain at a client and therapist professional level at all times (both oral and physical), which includes but is not limited to over-familiarity, extended unwarranted and un-arranged and unsocial out-of-hours communication.

Please be on time for any appointments. Your appointment may be cancelled or deferred later if you are more than 10 minutes late.

RESTRICTIONS OF SERVICE

It should be remembered that hypnosis is a very safe natural process - everyone experiences some form of hypnosis at some point in the day or night. Hypnotherapy can safely treat many neuroses, but for certain forms of psychosis and those who may experience epileptic seizures, hypnotherapy is not advisable. The reason is that hypnosis (although uncommon) has been known to cause psychotic episodes and seizures in those already predisposed to any of these conditions. If in doubt, please ask me or your doctor. All clients are requested NOT to be under the influence of psychoactive chemicals that may affect mental cognition during all appointments (this includes but is not limited to alcohol, cannabis, and anti-psychosis or/and mind-altering medication, either medically professionally prescribed or not). The initial enquiry form reflects a simple questionnaire to state that you are not affected by any of the above issues before moving forward - this safeguards you as much as it does me. Additionally, hypnotherapy is not recommended for individuals unwilling to participate.

Provided no contraindications exist on the initial enquiry form, the prospective client will be emailed a more comprehensive consultation questionnaire, which will help with the first face-to-face consultation.

CHANGES OF AGREED SERVICES

Treatment plans are designed to be flexible because it could transpire that the client's progression requires fewer or more sessions to help the original goals/presenting issue(s). Sometimes, a client progresses fast or slower - we're all made differently, and not even the best therapist can accurately predict what does or doesn't happen. Each session will be monitored for progression through weekly feedback from the client, and the therapist will make any changes to fit and suit the client's needs accordingly, appropriately, and fairly. If this occurs, a contract addendum will be added to the existing contract to reflect these changes, including alteration fees, but only after both parties have made verbal and written agreement.

If the client wishes to cancel any or all of the treatment sessions set out in the agreed services contracts, the client agrees that they may be subject to cancellation terms and fees set out below.

CLIENT AGREEMENTS
